Abstract

This research paper investigates the influence of education management information systems on basic school management in Nigeria using secondary data gathered from both print and online sources. The findings reveal that education management information systems have a positive impact on various aspects of basic education, including planning, data management, decision-making, school administration, supervision, resource allocation, monitoring and evaluation, and staff training. Consequently, it is recommended that government entities at all levels prioritize investment in education management information systems and ensure their full implementation in basic schools nationwide to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of educational management in Nigeria.
